Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (912) 233-7722. Savannah is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Savannah is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Georgia's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront. This is one of the most outdated Marriott hotels I have ever stayed in. The first thing you notice when entering the hotel is an unpleasant smell, and unfortunately the corridors have the same odor. It creates a very poor first impression. The guest rooms are in desperate need of a complete renovation. Everything feels old and worn out. The bathrooms are outdated, there isn’t even a safe in the room, and the overall condition is far below what I expect from the Marriott brand. The lighting is another major issue. It is very cold, bright white lighting that makes the room feel like an office instead of a welcoming hotel room. Warm lighting would create a much more comfortable and hospitable atmosphere. The only real highlight of this hotel is the view, which is absolutely beautiful. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. Overall, this was one of the worst Marriott properties I have stayed at, and I would not choose to stay here again unless the hotel undergoes a major renovation.

Room was old. Mold along the bottom of the bathroom floor. The AC is weak for the room size. Was difficult to cool the room off in the hot summer heat. Could see the ceiling had leak damage. It was painted over but it was crumbling. The TV remote was awful and the TV took forever to respond to it. Great location and happy for the parking garage. Great to watch the fireworks for America's big 250! Great service but the rooms were unfortunately a major let down!

Marriott Savannah Riverfront is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in very clean very spacious rooms and beautiful view. The breakfast was a five star if you stay here I definitely recommend you get the breakfast. We had one hiccup with one of the employees Lazarus That tried to spoil our stay in Savannah but they have the best managers, two ladies that assisted us Megan and Music, who made The wrongs right. Me and my husband are so thankful for these managers who displayed professionalism and courtesy. The best customer service I’ve seen. Overall the stay was great and we can’t wait to return.

I had a wonderful girls’ getaway with friends and it was AMAZING because of this hotel. Here’s why: First of all, the VIEW. The rooms have a balcony that look out over the atrium so you can see the river. Stunning. We tapped on the balcony with Prosecco and had the best time. Secondly, we enjoyed the food! Don’t get me wrong, we ate our way around Savannah, but when we didn’t feel like going out, we ordered from the restaurant. The birthed is really good, and the chicken carbonara was DELICIOUS (that creamy sauce!). Also, the hotel is literally from the river, so we can walk to a bunch of cool things without having to Uber. And this might not matter to some people, but the beds were comfortable as well front desk staff was really friendly. Those small things matter to me. I plan on going again with my husband. This is the ONLY place I’d consider staying.
